High yielding sorghum cultivars Improved cultivars are essential to harvest higher yields in any crop. A number of high yielding, biotic and abiotic stress tolerant hybrids and varieties have been released in sorghum through concerted research efforts of Directorate of Sorghum Research (DSR), and the multi-disciplinary multi-location testing network of All India Coordinated Sorghum Improvement Project (AICSIP) under DSR with its centres spread across the country in the State Agricultural Universities. A comparative statement of yield, nutritional value and other performance attributes of nutri-rich varieties, popular cultivars and latest recommended sorghum cultivars for various agro-ecologies (State-wise) are listed here under: S.
