As part of the IndiaAI Mission, AIKosha: IndiaAI Datasets Platform has been launched on 6th March 2025. IndiaAI Mission The IndiaAI Mission, approved in March 2024, is a landmark initiative dedicated to fortifying India’s AI ecosystem through strategic programs and partnerships spanning both public and private sectors. With a vision to democratize AI access, enhance data quality, cultivate indigenous AI capabilities, and ensure ethical AI practices, the Mission is structured around seven core pillars: IndiaAI Compute IndiaAI Datasets Platform IndiaAI Application Development Initiatives IndiaAI FutureSkills IndiaAI Innovation Center IndiaAI Startup Financing Safe & Trusted AI Vision of AIKosha A hub for AI resources: datasets, models, toolkits, use case library and development environment to explore and share datasets, build applications and leverage the community. Mission Improve access to datasets and models from diverse sources and sectors to catalyze AI-based innovation and research, facilitate development of AI solutions by sharing Toolkits, and highlight use cases to drive inspiration on applications that can be created using the resources on the platform. Features AIKosha is a secured platform that provides a repository of datasets, models and use cases to enable AI innovation. It also features AI sandbox capabilities through an integrated development environment along with tools and tutorials. The platform is equipped with the features like content discoverability, AI readiness scoring of datasets, permission based access & security mechanisms like data encryption at rest and in motion, secure API, and firewalls for real-time filtering of malicious traffic. Roles available on the platform Roles include Explorers, Contributors, and Organization Administrators, each with specific privileges as below. Explorer: Explorers have view-only rights on the platform. They can browse and download artefacts (dataset, model, or other resources) but can’t make any modifications or contribute new content. Contributor: Contributors have all the rights of the explorer. In addition, they have permission to upload, modify, and manage artefacts on the platform. They can also approve or restrict access to the artefacts they contribute. Organization Administrators (Admins): Admins have all the rights of an Explorer and a Contributor.
