Dada Harir’s Mosque and Tomb, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Dada Harir’s Mosque at Asarwa was built by Bai Harir Sultani, the incharge of the Royal Harem of Sultan Mahmud Begada. The complex includes a mosque, a tomb, and a beautiful stepwell. An inscription in the central mihrab assigns the construction of the mosque to 1500 CE. The mosque is a rectangular structure enclosed on the three sides, with the east side serving as the main facade. The facade is dominated by a grand central archway flanked by ornately decorated minarets. Source: Archaeological Survey of India
