Lalpeth Monoliths Locally known as Ravan, the Lalpeth Monoliths comprise 16 massive stone sculptures arranged in a rough circle around a Shiva linga. Renowned for their monumental scale and artistic excellence, the ensemble includes the largest monolith: a 10-headed Durga, estimated to weigh 57 tons. Equally striking are the fish and tortoise incarnations of Lord Vishnu, along with Mahisasuramardini, a four-headed Shankar, and Nandi. These remarkable monoliths are dated to the reign of the Gond king, Dhundia Ram Shah (1597–1622). Source: Archaeological Survey of India
