UCEED 2026 UCEED 2026 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee 2054 (hereafter referred to as the UCI Committee). UCEED 2026 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Design (B.Des.) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ), must appear for UCEED 2026. Candidates should note that the mere appearance in UCEED 2026 or being in the rank list neither guarantees nor provides any automatic entitlement to admission to the B.Des. programmes of the participating institutes. UCEED 2026 qualified candidates MUST apply separately for B.Des. admissions as per the prescribed procedure through the joint seat allocation process. UCEED 2026 score is valid only for admission to the programmes in the academic year 2026-2027. It is compulsory for the candidates to attempt both the parts in the given time. The total time for the examination (that includes both Part-A and Part-B) is THREE hours and it will be held as per the following schedule: Eligibility Criteria A candidate, including a foreign national, must simultaneously fulfil every one of the following three criteria to appear in UCEED 2026. Age limit: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1996, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. UCEED qualification: The candidate should have qualified, i.e., obtained a rank, in UCEED 2026. Qualifying examination: The candidate should have passed all five subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2025 or 2026. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2024 or earlier are NOT eligible. Many institutes also recognize the UCEED Score Card for admissions to their B.Des. program. Candidates from the Science Stream (at 10+2 level) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to all the seven participating institutes (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur). Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Indore.
