GRISHMA - UG Internship GRISHMA is designed to introduce UG students to the practice of scientific and scholarly research. The program offers students from institutions across India the opportunity to undertake mentored research across science, engineering, technology, and the humanities, working within faculty-led groups to gain first-hand experience in formulating, investigating, and communicating research problems. Eligibility UG students in science, engineering, medicine, and humanities disciplines Strong academic background and interest in research Only non-IIT Kharagpur students are eligible Fellowship Support GRISHMA Fellows receive financial support to cover essential expenses during the programme. Fellowship of up to INR 22,000 per month Fellowship covers mandatory hostel accommodation, meals, travel, and contingencies Disbursed on a daily pro-rata basis, aligned with the duration of participation Program Structure Participants work within faculty-led research groups, gaining experience in formulating, investigating, and communicating research problems. Mentored Research Project Work with IIT Kharagpur faculty, postdocs, or doctoral researchers on a defined project—experimental, computational, design, or humanities—aligned with your ranked preferences and program matching. Seminars & Workshops Weekly multidisciplinary sessions and technical workshops to broaden perspective beyond your immediate project. Final Deliverables Prepare a report and present your work to faculty and peers, sharing what you learned and explored.
