<p>Potash is an essential nutrient for protein synthesis and help plants to use water more efficiently. There are no commercially exploitable resources of potash in the country and the entire requirements of potash for direct application as well as for production of complex fertilizers are met through imports. Bedded marine evaporite deposits and surface and sub-surface potash-rich brines are the principal source of potash. The principal ore is sylvinite, a mixture of sylvite (KCl) and rock salt (NaCl). The potash resources have been classified as Glauconite, Polyhalite, Sylvite, and Unclassified.</p>
<h3>Uses</h3>
<p>Potash is more than just a mineral is a critical resource that supports agricultural productivity. Derived primarily from evaporite deposits, potash supplies potassium, an essential nutrient that enhances soil fertility, improves crop resilience, and boosts agricultural yields.
