THINQ is a unique national-level quiz competition and a flagship annual event of the Indian Navy. The quiz provided young minds with a unique opportunity to experience the ‘way of life’ of the Indian Navy, instilling a sense of national pride and patriotism while testing their knowledge and intellect. Who can participate? The quiz is open to all students in classes IX to XII in schools in India, irrespective of the affiliation mode or region. A school can field any number of teams. Each team must have two team members. They must be from the same school. However, only one team per school will be allowed from ER-2 onwards. Inter-class teams are allowed. For example, a team can consist of a Class IX student and a Class XIl student. Prizes The winners will be recognised and honoured with exciting prizes, including mementos, gifts and certificates. Participation certificates will be forwarded to all the teams who have qualified for the Zonal Selection Round of THINQ Competition THINQ will comprise online preliminary rounds, zonal selection round, semi-finals and finals Questions in the contest will cover various topics like current affairs, literature, science and technology, sports and other areas of general interest. There will be special rounds on the Indian Navy and other India-specific themes 20000 schools are expected to participate in THINQ. Schools will be divided into four zones—North, South, East, and West The preliminary round is open to all the registered teams and will have three Elimination Rounds—ER1, ER2 and ER3 and will be conducted online The top 50% of schools from each zone will proceed from ER 1 to ER 2. The top 20% of schools from each zone will proceed from ER 2 to ER 3. The top 20% of schools from each zone will proceed from ER 3 to the Zonal Round. The Zonal Selection Round will be conducted online A total of sixteen teams (four from each zone) will qualify for the semi-finals. There will be two semi-finals. The top 8 Teams from the semi-finals (four from each semi-final) will qualify for the finals.
