About CSIR-IIIM The CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine was established in 1941 as a research lab. and production centre, known as Drug Research Laboratory of J&K State and was later taken over by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of Govt. of India in December 1957 as Regional Research Laboratory, Jammu. In view of its core strength in natural products based drug discovery, the mandate of Institute was redefined in 2007 and its name changed to the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM). The current mandate of IIIM is to discover new drugs and therapeutic approaches from Natural Products, both of plant and microbial origin, enabled by biotechnology, to develop technologies, drugs and products of high value for the national and international markets. About CSIR-IIIM R&TP Summer Call CSIR-IIIM invites online applications from prospective candidates of all branches of Biological, Chemical & Agricultural sciences for CSIR-IIIM Research & Training/Internship Program starting from May 2026 onwards. Mode of Training / Internship Trainees will have to work under the supervision/mentorship of CSIR-IIIM Scientist / Technical Officer. Each student is supposed to work on an allotted project and must submit a 'Project Report' of the work done on completion of the project. Eligibility M.Sc.Program: Candidates who are currently pursuing their MSc Prog are eligible to apply for CSIR-IIIM R&TP (Summer Call). B.Tech./B.Pharm/BSc Honors (4 Years Prog) Program: Candidates who are currently pursuing their B.Tech/B.Pharma/BVSc/BSc Honors must be in their Third or Fourth Year only. Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech or B.Sc-M.Sc.or MVSc:Candidates must be in their Third Year study onwards. MBBS/BDS students in any year of their study can apply. Note: Candidates pursuing 3 years B.Sc. program and PhD are not eligible to apply. Selection Criteria Selection criteria will be as under: Nation-wide representation. Preference shall be given to students from Public funded Universities/Institutes, Universities/Institutes with which CSIR-IIIM Jammu is having MoU. Academic Record of 12th class, graduation and semesters cleared at Bachelors/Masters level will be given preference. The number of trainee's intake varies between 50-60 candidates for Summer session, and mainly depends upon the availability of bench space available in various laboratories of CSIR-IIIM. Fee Fee will be charged as under: Duration Fee Two Months 10000+18% GST Three Months 15000+ 18% GST Four Months 20000+18% GST Five Months 25000+18% GST Six Months 30000+18% GST How to Apply Prospective trainees interested in applying for the Research Training/ Internship Program 2026 summer session must submit application through on-line mode by or before 04 May 2026, 5 РМ. Financial Support/Boarding/Lodging Selected candidates are required to self-finance their stay at CSIR-IIIM Jammu and shall have to make their own arrangement for stay in Jammu/Srinagar during the training period. CSIR-IIIM may consider requests for accommodation only from outstation students, especially girl students in CSIR-IIIM housing facility depending upon the availability of the acc accommodation on first come first serve basis for which candidates will have to pay nominal license fee + electricity charges as per CSIR norms. Please note that only 6-10 trainees can be accommodated on sharing basis on first cum first basis. Rest of the selected trainees has to manage their own stay.
