About e-MEDHA The e-MEDHA (e-MEDical Heritage Accession Catalogue) portal, National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH) allows access over 12,000 books that showcase the wisdom of traditional medicine. The Institute has a special referral medico-historical library with 13623 valuable books, back volumes of medico-historical journals, 286 medical manuscripts (Ayurveda: 173, Siddha: 06, Unani: 107). Apart from main collection covering reference section (bibliographies, catalogues, directories, encyclopedia, indices, travelogues), art and sculpture, archeology and epigraphy, history of science and allied subjects, world medicine, Indian medicine, history and culture (world and India), non-medical literature, reprints and periodicals etc. All the above mentioned literature made available to historians, research scholars including post graduate students from India and abroad.
