About Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya is an innovative digital library launched by the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on February 10, 2024. Developed under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, it is designed especially for the children and youth of the nation. Serving as a comprehensive national repository of knowledge, literature, and stories, the platform aims to make reading joyful and accessible to all. The project aims to cultivate a life-long passion for reading among the children and kindle a sense of pride among the youth about India’s rich and diverse heritage, culture, and achievements. It also seeks to serve as a central hub of knowledge for generations to come. Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya offers unlimited access to a diverse range of books, spanning genres like fiction, non-fiction, comics, rhymes, and picture books. It also offers literature on highly sought-after topics like Art and Culture, and Travel and Exploration. This library has been thoughtfully organised into four age-specific categories: 3-8 years, 8-11 years, 11-14 years and Young Adults, keeping in line with the vision of National Education Policy 2020. Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya (राष्ट्रीय ई पुस्तकालय) is a digital initiative for facilitating availability of quality digital books beyond the academic curricula across geographies, languages, genres and levels, and device agnostic accessibility. The Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya app is available on Web, Android, and iOS platforms. With over 7000+ non-academic titles from more than 250+ respected publishers, and available in 25 Indian languages and English, Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya transcends all geographical and linguistic barriers to make sure every child experiences the joy of reading quality literature.
