IMPACT Summer School The IMPACT Summer School by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research, Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) is for students currently enrolled in M.Sc. and final-year B.Sc. Physics programs, as well as recent M.Sc. graduates or their equivalents. This school aims to provide a platform for young, motivated students to explore advanced concepts and interdisciplinary topics in modern physics. This year’s summer school offers a unique opportunity to explore some of the most exciting frontiers of modern physics through a combination of lectures, hands-on training, and laboratory exposure. Courses The program will feature four advanced theoretical courses: Berry Phase in Physics Cosmology and Neutrino Physics General Relativity and Numerical Relativity Band Theory and Topological Invariants In addition, participants will be introduced to cutting-edge experimental techniques through specialized modules on: Quantum Sensing Optical Microscopy in Real and Fourier Planes Key Highlights A key highlight of the summer school is the hands-on experimental training, where participants will perform and learn from a variety of laboratory experiments under expert guidance. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit advanced research laboratories and Central Instrumentation Facilities, gaining first-hand exposure to state-of-the-art scientific equipment and research infrastructure. Throughout the program, students will interact with and learn from researchers and experts working across diverse areas of physics. These discussions will provide valuable insights into current research challenges, emerging technologies, and future career opportunities in academia.
