Introduction The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is a major educational initiative launched by the SBI Foundation. It is a CSR arm of the State Bank of India which was established in 2015. The foundation aims to promote education, healthcare, rural upliftment, skill development, women empowerment, and sustainability across India. Through this scholarship program, the SBI Foundation aims to provide financial support to talented students from low-income families, enabling them to pursue a quality education without financial barriers. The scheme covers students from Class 9th to 12th, as well as those pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, medical, IIT, IIM, and even overseas postgraduate studies. For 2025, the SBI Foundation has allocated a ₹90 crore fund to assist around 23,230 meritorious students across various academic levels. The scholarship amount ranges from Rs. 15,000/- to Rs. 20 lakh, depending on the course and category of study. Applications are live and students can apply online through the Official Website till 30-11-2025. Benefits Students selected under the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26 will receive direct financial assistance from the SBI Foundation to continue their education. The amount of scholarship includes :- Class 9th to 12th :- Rs. 15,000/- Undergraduate Courses :- Up to Rs. 75,000/- Postgraduate Courses :- Up to Rs. 2,50,000/- Medical Courses :- Up to Rs. 4,50,000/- IIT Students :- Up to Rs. 2,00,000/- IIM Students :- Up to Rs. 5,00,000/- Overseas PG Students :- Up to Rs. 20,00,000/- Additional Notes: The scholarship is renewable annually, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s SBI bank account. Diploma students are not eligible under this scheme. Eligibility To qualify for the SBI Asha Student Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility conditions according to their education level :- For School Students (Class 9th–12th) :- Must be an Indian citizen. Currently enrolled in Class 9 to 12 in any recognized school. Minimum 75% marks in the last examination. Family income should not exceed 3 lakh per year. For Undergraduate Students :- Must be studying in one of the Top 300 NIRF-ranked institutions. Secured at least 75% marks or 7 CGPA in the previous year. Annual family income below 6 lakh. For Postgraduate Students :- Should be enrolled in a Top 300 NIRF-ranked institute. Scored at least 75% or 7 CGPA in the last academic year. Annual income limit: 6 lakh. For Medical Students :- Must be pursuing a medical degree in a Top 300 NIRF-ranked institute. Minimum 75% or 7 CGPA required. Family income should not exceed 6 lakh annually. For IIT Students :- Enrolled in any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Minimum 75% or 7 CGPA in the previous academic year. Family income limit: 6 lakh. For IIM Students :- Pursuing MBA/ PGDM from any Indian Institute of Management (IIM). Must have obtained 75% or 7 CGPA. Family income under 6 lakh. For Overseas Students :- Must be an Indian national belonging to the SC/ST category. Pursuing postgraduate studies in any of the Top 200 QS or World Ranking universities. Family income not exceeding 6 lakh per year. Minimum academic score: 75% or 7 CGPA. Documents Latest marksheet or educational certificate. Family income certificate (issued by a competent authority). Aadhaar card of the student. Admission proof (college/ school/ university ID card or admission receipt). Current year’s fee receipt. SBI bank account details with IFSC code. Recent passport-size photograph. Caste certificate, if applicable. Active mobile number and email ID for communication. How to Apply Students can apply online through the official SBI Foundation scholarship portal. Follow these steps to submit your application :- Visit the official SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship website. Scroll to the relevant section and choose your education category (School, UG, PG, IIT, etc.). Click on “Apply Now”, which redirects to the Buddy4Study portal. Register using your Google account or by providing your name, email, and mobile number. Log in and select “SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26” from the list. Fill in the online application form carefully and upload the required documents in PDF format. Verify all details and submit the form. After submission, applications will be verified by SBI Foundation officials. Shortlisted students will face a telephonic interview followed by document verification.
