<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>AI for School Administration and Academic Monitoring: A Case Study of Government Schools</strong></p> <h3 style="text-align: justify;">Abstract</h3> <p style="text-align: justify;">Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming educational administration by enabling data-driven decision-making, automation of routine administrative tasks, and continuous academic monitoring. Government schools often face challenges such as manual record management, delayed reporting, irregular student attendance, limited academic monitoring, and shortage of administrative resources. This topic examines the role of AI in improving school administration and academic monitoring in government schools. The use cases of use of AI applications is in the areas of attendance management, timetable generation, examination analysis, teacher performance monitoring, student progress tracking and communication with stakeholders. The findings indicate that AI can significantly enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability, and educational quality when supported by adequate infrastructure, teacher capacity building, and ethical implementation. A phased implementation of AI tools, integration with existing educational platforms, and continuous professional development for school leaders and teachers would be helpful.</p> <h3 style="text-align: justify;">Introduction</h3> <p style="text-align: justify;">The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for improving educational administration across the world. However, administrative challenges such as monitoring student attendance, analysing academic performance, preparing reports, scheduling classes, and communicating with parents continue to consume significant time and effort.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Artificial Intelligence has the potential to automate these routine tasks while providing predictive insights for school leaders. AI-powered systems can help identify students at academic risk, monitor teacher performance, improve resource allocation, and generate real-time reports for educational administrators. The integration of AI into school administration can therefore support evidence-based decision-making and improve overall educational outcomes.</p> <h3 style="text-align: justify;">Need and Significance of AI in education administration</h3> <p style="text-align: justify;">Government schools require efficient administrative systems to ensure quality education.
