Vikaspedia is a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiative to foster an AI augmented digital ecosystem to promote availability of e-information in regional languages for citizen empowerment and digital transformation. The initiative is being implemented by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Hyderabad. Developed as part of the initiative is the collaborative knowledge sharing platform – www.vikaspedia.in. It is Multilingual (covers all 22 constitutionally recognized languages, besides English), Multisectoral (covers all major livelihood sectors) and Multi-modal (multi-channel information delivery). Individuals and Institutions collaboratively share content (edit/add) in the Vikaspedia portal in the domains and languages of their interest. The Vikaspedia collaborative knowledge sharing portal intends to onboard editors who can anchor the domain/language portal to ensure seamless availability, networking and utility of the portal. Who can become an editor Individuals and Institutions who by virtue of his/her/their education or experience has expertise in any of domains/languages covered by Vikaspedia. Passion and willingness to share his/her/their expertise for societal good. Have Access to internet and is computer literate Conversant in sharing digital information in an Indian Language and English through any ICT mode. Should be an active Content contributor in the Vikaspedia portal. Scope of work of an editor Anchor the Vikaspedia domain/language portal of their choice. Monitor the pages, comments, feedback added in the portal. Update news, content related to latest topics of citizen interest from authentic sources. Translate existing content to Indian language of their choice. Create a database of digital knowledge sources (websites, blogs, etc) to synergize knowledge aggregation for the Vikaspedia portal. Suggest areas of improvement for better content aggregation and utility in Vikaspedia portal. Network agencies/individuals for content contribution in Vikaspedia portal. Any other areas to further the utility of Vikaspedia.
