Introduction The Himachal Pradesh Government started the E Taxi Self-Driving Yojana in the year 2023. It is a self-employment sub-scheme under the Government's Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Start Up Yojana. The main objective behind starting this scheme is to support unemployed youth of the state to start self-employment activities. The Government of Himachal Pradesh will provide a subsidy on the purchase of an E Taxi under this scheme. Unemployed youth can purchase the E Taxi at a subsidized price and drive it for the Himachal Pradesh Department Officials. The Respective Department will pay monthly remuneration to unemployed youth, which they can utilize to pay the loan amount and for their expenses. The department will hire the taxi initially for a period of 4 years, which can be further extended to 2 years. 50% Subsidy will be provided to eligible unemployed youth on the purchase E Taxi under the E Taxi Self Driving Yojana of the Himachal Pradesh Government.
