Introduction Himachal Pradesh Government launched "Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana" in the year 2023. Later, the name of the scheme was changed to "Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana". Government's main objective is to provide financial support to women so that they can easily manage their daily expenses. This scheme is implemented by Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Monthly Financial Assistance of Rs. 1,500/- will be provided to all eligible women of 18 years to 59 years under Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana. Buddhist Nuns permanently residing in Buddhist Monastery are also eligible to apply. Application Forms are available free of cost at Tehsil Welfare Officer and District Welfare Officer's Office. (For Buddhist Nuns) Process to Apply Application Form of Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana is available in the Office of District Welfare Officer or Tehsil Welfare Officer. Take the application form and fill it correctly. Attach all the documents with it. Submit duly filled application form along with documents in the same office. District Welfare Officer/ Tehsil Welfare Officer will verify the received application form and documents, verify it and make a list of eligible women. List of Women beneficiary selected for monthly financial assistance will be forwarded to respective department for further approval. Women beneficiaries will receive monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,500/- per month directly in their bank account after final approval.
