Introduction The Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme to support self-employed drivers in the state. This welfare initiative was officially launched on 4th October 2025 The main goal is to provide direct financial relief of Rs. 15,000 per year to auto, taxi, and maxi cab drivers who own and operate their vehicles. This scheme replaces the earlier YSR Vahan Mitra Scheme, which offered Rs. 10,000 per year. The revamped version not only increases financial aid but also widens its coverage to ensure better livelihood support for transport workers affected by reduced passenger demand and rising fuel costs. The scheme is implemented by the Andhra Pradesh Transport Department. Benefits Under this new scheme, the Andhra Pradesh Government directly transfers Rs. 15,000 per year to each eligible driver’s bank account. The amount serves as annual financial assistance to help cover vehicle maintenance, insurance, and fuel expenses. This direct benefit transfer ensures transparency and quick financial aid without middlemen. Eligibility To receive financial support under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme, the applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria :- Must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh. Should be an auto, taxi, or maxi cab driver by profession. The vehicle should be self-owned and registered in Andhra Pradesh. Applicant must possess a valid driving license. Must be 18 years of age or older. Only one member per household owning and driving the vehicle can apply for the scheme. Documents required Applicants need to provide the following documents at the time of application :- Aadhaar Card (for identity and OTP verification) Valid Driving License Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) Insurance Certificate and Pollution Under Control (PUC) Bank Account details (for DBT transfer) Mobile number registered with Aadhaar Process to Apply Eligible beneficiaries can apply for the scheme either online through the official Beneficiary Management Portal or offline via their local Village/ Ward Secretariat. The Transport Department and Secretariat staff jointly verify all applications before final approval. After verification, the Finance Department releases the funds directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme. Online Process Visit the Beneficiary Management Portal. Select Citizen Login and enter your Aadhaar number. Complete OTP verification to access the application dashboard. Choose the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme under citizen services. Fill in personal, vehicle, and bank details carefully. Upload all required documents. Review your form and click Submit. The concerned Secretariat will verify your details before approval. After approval, Rs. 15,000 will be transferred directly into your bank account. To check eligibility or track your application status, visit the same portal and use your Aadhaar number under the Application Status section. Offline Process Visit your Village/ Ward Secretariat. Collect the Auto Driver Sevalo Scheme application form. Fill out all details accurately. Attach copies of Aadhaar, DL, RC, insurance, and bank details. Submit the completed form back to the same office. Secretariat officials will verify your application and prepare the beneficiary list. Approved applicants will receive Rs. 15,000 annually through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
