<h3>Introduction</h3> <ul> <li>Apun Bahan Scheme was launched by the Assam Government on 2nd of August 2023.</li> <li>The government's main objective is to support its government employees in purchasing their dream vehicle.</li> <li>This scheme is implemented by the <a href="https://finance.assam.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Finance Department</a> of the Assam Government.</li> <li>If any permanent and regular government employee whose age is between 21 years to 53 years and have in a service for a minimum period of 7 years is interested in purchasing a 2 or 4 wheeler, then the Assam Government will provide the benefit of interest subsidy.</li> <li>Interest Subsidy is available on the purchase of 2 or 4 wheelers in petrol/ diesel and electric variants.</li> <li>Women and Disabled Employees will get an extra 1% interest subsidy under the Apun Bahan Scheme.</li> <li>Submit the Apun Bahan Scheme Application Form to the DDO (Drawing and Disbursing Officer) Office and avail the benefit of interest subsidy on the purchase of vehicles.</li> </ul> <h3>Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Government employees will get an Interest Subsidy on the purchase of a 2 or 4-wheeler.</li> <li>Male Employee will get :- <ul> <li>On Petrol/ Diesel Vehicles :- 2%.</li> <li>On Electric Vehicles :- 3%.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Women and the Physically Disabled Employee will get a 3% subsidy on interest on any kind of vehicle purchase.</li> <li>85% to 90% Cost of the Vehicle will be provided through a Bank Loan.</li> <li>Maximum Loan Amount is Rs. 15 Lakh or 48 times of net monthly income of an employee.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years and Maximum 7 years is the loan repayment period.</li> </ul> <h3>Eligibility</h3> <ul> <li>Assam Government Permanent and Regular Employees.</li> <li>The Age Limit is 21 to 53 years.</li> <li>Minimum Time to be in Government Service should be 7 years.</li> <li>Family Annual Income should be Rs. 3 Lakh or More.</li> </ul> <h3>Documents</h3> <ul> <li>Assam Residence Proof.</li> <li>Aadhaar Card.</li> <li>Vehicle Quotation.</li> <li>Salary Bank Account Details.</li> <li>Identity Card.</li> <li>ITR. (Income Tax Return)</li> <li>Co-Applicant Identity Proof.</li> </ul> <h3>Process to Apply</h3> <ul> <li>Government employees will have to submit the duly filled application form of the Apun Bahan Scheme to the Office of the Drawing and Disbursing Officer. (DDO)</li> <li>DDO verifies the application forms and documents and certifies them with its seal.</li> <li>The Apun Bahan Scheme Application Form and Documents will then be forwarded to the respective bank for the sanction of the loan.</li> <li>The amount of the loan will be transferred directly to the bank account of the Vehicle Dealer.</li> <li>Whereas, interest subsidy will be disbursed in the salary account of a government employee.</li> <li>The loan repayment period is from a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 7 years.</li> </ul> <h3>Contact</h3> <ul> <li>Contact the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) for further assistance.</li> </ul>
