Introduction Nijut Moina Scheme was launched by Government of Assam on 8th of August 2024. Government's main objective behind starting this scheme to empower girls students and encourage them to complete their higher secondary education and pursue for higher education. Higher Education Department of Assam Government is the implementing department of this scheme. Government provides yearly assistance to all eligible girl students which is disbursed through equal monthly installments. Benefits Monthly Scholarship is provided to Girl Students as follows. Rs. 1,000/- per month for 10 months to Class 11th Girl Students. (Total of Rs. 10,000/-) Rs. 1,250/- per month for 10 months to First Year Graduation Girl Students. (Total of Rs. 12,500/-) Rs. 2,500/- per month for 10 months to PG and B.Ed Course Girl Students. (Total of Rs. 25,000/-) Eligibility Class 11th, First Year Graduate Course and First Year Post Graduate Course/ B.Ed pursuing Girl Students. Girl students who are studying in Government and Venture Schools, Colleges, Universities. Girl Students undergroing Self Financed Courses are also eligible to apply for this scheme. No Income Limit is set by Assam Government. Ineligibility Daughter of MP/ MLA/ Minister. Girl Students who are Married. In Service B.Ed pursuing Girl Student. Documents 10th Marksheet and Passing Certificate. (For Class 11th Girl Student) 12th Marksheet and Passing Certificate. (For First Year Graduation Girl Student) Graduate Degree Marksheet and Passing Certificate. (For First Year PG and B.Ed Girl Students) Passport Size Photo. Bank Account Details. Aadhaar Card of Girl Student. Mobile Number. Process to Apply Collect Application Form of Mukhyamantri Nijut Moina Scheme from you Schools/ Colleges/ Universities Nodal Officer. Fill it correctly, attach all the required documents with it and submit it in your respective Educational Institute. Respective Educational Institute will verify the recieved application form and documents and forward it to Higher Education Department for further approval. Monthly Scholarship will then be directly transferred to the bank account of beneficiary after final approval. Girl Students do not have to apply again in second year. Head of Institution or Principal will submit the certificate of continuity on behalf of girl student.
