Must be born in Goa or have worked continuously in Goa for at least three years. Should have completed a minimum of three consecutive years of service with a recognised newspaper or periodical publication. Work experience must be supported by a valid certificate from the concerned organisation. The applicant should be registered with the Department of Information & Publicity (DIP), Goa. DIP registration must be renewed every year on or before 30 June. The applicant should not be engaged in any other profession or employment. A declaration confirming that no financial assistance has been received for the same purpose under any other Government of Goa scheme is mandatory. Medical assistance applicants must submit the required medical certificates and original bills. Applicants who have already received assistance for the same purpose under another Government of Goa welfare scheme are not eligible.
