Introduction The Haryana Government started the Drone Didi Scheme in the year 2024. Earlier, the Central Government had a similar scheme with the "Namo Drone Didi Scheme" name. The Haryana Government's main objective behind starting this scheme is to support Women Self-Help Groups of the State and help them to increase their income. Haryana Government's Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department and Directorate of Skill Development & Industrial Training jointly implement this scheme in the State. As already mentioned in benefits, the Haryana Government will provide 80% subsidy or a maximum of Rs. 8 lakh of the drone price and a Bank Loan of Rs. 5 Lakh for 1 year. The purchased Drone will be used for rental purposes to spray pesticides or crop nutrients in the agricultural fields. Through the Drone Didi Scheme of the Haryana Government, Women Self-Help Groups can easily earn Rs. 1 lakh per year additionally. Benefits Drones will be provided to Women Self-Help Groups on a Subsidy for Commercial Agricultural Use. 80% Subsidy on Drone Price or Maximum Rs. 8,00,000/- whichever is lower will be provided. Interest-free bank Loan up to Rs. 5 Lakh for 1 year will also be provided. The Haryana Government will pay the Bank Interest on the Loan. Drone Flying Training will also be provided without any cost. Women Members will get a Remote Pilot Certificate after Training. Women SHGs will earn additional Rs. 1 lakh through the Drone Didi Scheme. Eligibility Registered Women Self-Help Groups of Haryana are Eligible. Women members of SHG should be residents of Haryana. The Age of Women Members should be between 18 to 40 years. The minimum qualification to become a Drone Pilot is a Class 10th pass. Having Parivar Pehchan Patra is Required. Documents Required Registration Number of Women SHG. Women SHG Bank Account Number. Process to Apply Self-help groups can apply under the Drone Didi Scheme of the Haryana Government through an Online Application Form, which is available on the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department. Open the Portal and Select the Drone Didi Scheme. Register the Women's Self-Help Group First. Log in with Application Number and SHG Head Mobile Number after Registration. Fill in the required details in the Drone Didi Scheme Application Form and upload all the documents. Submit the Application Form after checking all the filled details. The respective Department will select the Women SHGs based on their financial status and societal contribution. Drone Flying Training for 1 week will be provided to 1 woman member of SHG.
