<h3>Introduction</h3> <ul> <li><img style="max-width: 100%; height: 252px; float: right;" src="https://static.vikaspedia.in/mediastorage/filestorage/20260207140736_HaryanaHarGharHarGrihniScheme.webp" alt="Uploaded Image" width="208">On the occasion of Hariyali Teej on 12 August 2024, the state government of Haryana had announced a special welfare initiative for women of the state.</li> <li>Understanding the financial burden caused by rising LPG cylinder prices, the government launched a new scheme named “Har Ghar Har Grihni Scheme.”</li> <li>The scheme has been designed to provide affordable cooking gas to women from economically weaker families.</li> <li>The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Haryana, has been made the nodal department for its implementation.</li> <li>Under this initiative, eligible women will be able to get a domestic LPG cylinder at an effective cost of Rs. 500 only.</li> <li>It is specifically meant for Antyodaya families and <a title="External website that opens in new window" href="viewcontent/energy/policy-support/pradhan-mantri-ujjwala-yojana" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PM Ujjwala Yojana</a> beneficiaries who fulfill the prescribed conditions.</li> <li>The scheme works on a reimbursement model.</li> <li>The beneficiary first purchases the LPG cylinder at the market price, after which the Haryana Government deducts Rs. 500 and transfers the remaining amount as subsidy directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.</li> </ul> <h3>Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Women beneficiaries belonging to Antyodaya families will receive the following advantages under the Har Ghar Har Grihni Scheme :- <ul> <li>Domestic LPG cylinder will be available at an effective price of Rs. 500.</li> <li>Subsidy can be availed on up to 12 LPG cylinders in a year.</li> <li>Financial relief from increasing cooking gas prices.</li> <li>Subsidy amount will be transferred directly into the bank account of the eldest female member of the family.</li> <li>If no female member above 18 years is present, the amount will be credited to the eldest male member’s account.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Eligibility</h3> <ul> <li>To receive LPG cylinders at the subsidized rate of Rs. 500, applicants must fulfill the following conditions :- <ul> <li>The applicant must be a woman resident of Haryana.</li> <li>She should be a beneficiary under <a href="viewcontent/energy/policy-support/pradhan-mantri-ujjwala-yojana" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.</a></li> <li>The family must possess an Antyodaya or BPL Ration Card.</li> <li>The applicant must have a valid domestic LPG gas connection in her name.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Only those women who meet all the above criteria will be considered eligible for the scheme.</li> </ul> <h3>Documents</h3> <ul> <li>The following documents are required while applying online for the Har Ghar Har Grihni Scheme :- <ul> <li>Antyodaya Ration Card.</li> <li>Parivar Pehchan Patra.
