Introduction The Jharkhand Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana is an important initiative launched by the Government of Jharkhand in the year 2022 for the welfare of the youth of the state. The scheme is being implemented by the Higher Education Department of Jharkhand with the aim of supporting students in preparing for various competitive examinations. Under this scheme, eligible students are provided free coaching through empaneled coaching institutes. Youth preparing for examinations such as UPSC, JPSC, Banking, Railway, and SSC can take advantage of this facility. Along with free coaching, selected students also receive financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 per month during the coaching period. The duration of coaching under the scheme ranges from a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 2 years. Students can apply for the scheme through the Official Eklavya Prtosahan Yojana Portal. Benefits Under the Jharkhand Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana, the following benefits are provided to eligible youth :- Free coaching for preparation of all major competitive examinations. Monthly financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 during the coaching period. Guidance from recognized and empaneled coaching institutes. Support for exams like UPSC, JPSC, SSC, Railway, Banking, etc. Coaching facility for a period of 6 months to 2 years. Eligibility To receive the benefits of free coaching under the Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana, applicants must fulfill the following conditions :- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand. The candidate should be preparing for competitive examinations. 10th and 12th education must be completed from a school located in Jharkhand. Annual family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakh. Minimum 75% attendance in coaching is mandatory. Documents The following documents are required to avail the benefits of the scheme :- Aadhaar Card. Permanent residence certificate. Caste certificate. Self-declaration form. Educational qualification certificates. Age proof. Bank account details. Process to Apply Eligible students can apply online through the Official Portal of the Jharkhand Eklavya Prashikshan Yojana. Visit the official portal and click on the registration option. Fill in the required details and complete the registration. Log in again using mobile number/email and password. Open the online application form and enter all necessary information. Upload the required documents on the portal. Submit the final application form. After submission, the concerned department will verify the applications and documents carefully. Students will be selected on the basis of merit prepared from Class 12 marks. The list of eligible candidates will be forwarded to the high-level committee by the Higher Education Department. Selected students can choose the coaching center of their choice through the portal. Coaching centers will submit monthly attendance, and based on that, financial assistance of Rs. 2,500 per month will be released.
