Introduction Udyogini Scheme was started by Karnataka Government in the year 2015-2016. The main objective of Government behind starting this scheme is to provide financial support in terms of loan to women entrepreneurs so that they can start their own self employment activity. This scheme will be implemented by State Women Development Corporation of Karnataka Government. Government will provide subsidized loans under Udyogini Scheme to women to help them to start their own income generation activity. Subsidy on disbursed loans will be offered according to the social category of women applicant. Women Beneficiary belongs to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe Category will get 50% subsidy on loan, whereas general and special category women will get 30% subsidy on loan. Amount of Subsidy will be paid by Government of Karnataka to banks/ financial institutions. It is mandatory for women applicant to undergo Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) training which is 3 to 6 days. No collateral security is required for business loan under Udyogini Scheme. Women Applicant can get Loan from Rs. 1 Lakh to up to Rs. 3 Lakh for Business. Karnataka Government will provide subsidy on disbursed loan. SC/ ST Category Women Applicant will get Subsidy of 50% on Loan Amount. General and Special Category Applicant will get Subsidy of 30% on Loan Amount. Reasonable Interest Rate will be applicable as per bank rules. Eligibility Permanent Resident Women of Karnataka whose age is between 18 years to 55 years. Cost of Business Unit should be between Rs. 1 Lakh to Rs. 3 Lakh. Family Annual Income of Women Applicant should be :- For General/ Special Category Women :- Not more than Rs. 1.50 Lakh. For SC/ ST Women Applicant :- Not more than Rs. 2 Lakh. No Income Limit for Disabled or Widow Women Applicant. Documents Aadhaar Card. Family Ration Card. 3 Passport Size Photo. Details of Bank Account. Income Certificate. Caste Certificate. (If Applicable) Project Report. Quotation of Business Capital. EDP Training Certificate. Process to Apply Women Beneficiary will have to visit the State Women Development Corporation District Office to collect the Application Form. Fill Application Form, Fill it and attach all the required documents with it. Submit Udyogini Scheme Application Form along with all documents in the Women Development Corporation Office and take Acknowledgement Reciept. Verification of recived application forms and documents will be done by concerned officials. Eligible Women Beneficiary list will then forward to respective bank/ financial institution for disbursement of loan. Submitting EDP Training Certificate is mandatory after that the Loan amount will be transferred in women beneficiary bank account.
