Introduction The Government of Kerala has introduced a new youth-centric initiative called the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme, which was officially launched on 20 January 2026. The scheme has been designed with the clear intent of strengthening the confidence and employability of young people by supporting them financially during their preparation phase for jobs and careers. Through this programme, the state government aims to reduce financial stress among youths who are either enrolled in skill-based training programmes or preparing for competitive examinations. The Labour Department, Government of Kerala, is the nodal department responsible for implementing and monitoring this scheme across the state. Under the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme, eligible youths will receive monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1,000 for a duration of one year, enabling them to focus better on skill development and exam preparation without immediate economic pressure. Benefits Eligible beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme will receive the following advantages from the Kerala Government :- Financial assistance is provided every month to selected youths. Each beneficiary receives Rs. 1,000 per month. The assistance is granted for a maximum period of 12 months. The support helps youths concentrate on training or exam preparation without financial burden. Eligibility To receive benefits under the Chief Minister’s Connect To Work Scheme, applicants must meet all the conditions listed below :- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala. Age should be between 18 and 30 years. Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 5,00,000. Applicant must have passed Class 12 / VHSE / ITI / Diploma / Degree. The youth should be :- Currently undergoing a skill enhancement or vocational training course, or Preparing for competitive examinations such as :- UPSC State PSC SSC Banking exams Railways Defence services (Army, Navy, Air Force) Central or State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) Documents Applicants are required to upload the following documents while submitting the online application form :- Address Proof (Any One) :- Aadhaar Card.
