Introduction Samadhan Yojana 2025 is a major step by the Madhya Pradesh Government to help electricity consumers who have old pending bills. Many families and businesses were unable to clear their dues because the surcharge kept increasing over time. To solve this issue, the government launched Samadhan Yojana on 3 November 2025 allowing people to settle outstanding bills with a heavy discount on surcharge. The scheme is being carried out through the state’s three power distribution companies i.e. Madhya, Poorv, and Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran companies. The program will run in two separate phases, offering rebate from 50% to 100% depending on when the consumer clears the principal amount. The government expects around 90 lakh consumers to benefit from the scheme. Benefits Rebate on surcharge amount which can go up to 100% depending on the payment date. If dues are cleared between 3 Nov 2025 and 31 Dec 2025 then the surcharge relief will be 60% to 100%. Payments made between 1 Jan 2026 and 28 Feb 2026 can get 50% to 90% rebate on pending surcharge amount. Consumers who pay the full principal amount in one go receive the maximum discount. Installment options are also available in which bills can be cleared in 6 monthly installments. For installment registration, domestic/ agricultural users must deposit 10%, while commercial/ industrial users submit 25% of the pending dues. Eligibility The electricity bill should be pending for more than three months. There must be surcharge added on the outstanding amount. The scheme is open for domestic, agricultural, commercial, and industrial consumers. Rebate is valid only for payments made between 3 November 2025 and 28 February 2026. Consumers can choose any one of the two ways :- Offline (Electricity Office Visit) Go to your nearest electricity distribution office with your pending bill. Inform the officials that you want to settle the dues under the Samadhan Yojana. Pay the bill amount as per your choice either in full or through installments. Online (Through Company Websites) Open the official portal of your electricity company. Select the Samadhan Yojana 2025-26 option. Enter your connection number and fetch the pending bill details. The system will automatically calculate the rebate applicable. Make the payment online through UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. Rebate will be adjusted instantly, and the payment receipt can be downloaded. Payments made on or before 28 February 2026 will only be eligible for the concession.
