Introduction Central Government launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the year 2019 in which yearly financial assistance of Rs. 6,000/- is provided to farmers. Following the same steps, Maharashtra Government also launched a new scheme for farmers in the year 2023 titled "Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana". The main objective of this scheme is to increase the income of farmers by stablizing it. Benefits will be provided to farmers @ Rs. 6,000/- per year. This assistance to farmers will be disbursed in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2,000/- each. First installment will be provided during April to July, Second Installment will be provided during August to November and the third and last installment will be provided to farmers during December to March. Farmers of Maharashtra will now get Rs. 12,000/- per year combining both the assistance from Central and Maharashtra Government Scheme.
