Introduction The Rajasthan Government has introduced a dedicated pilgrimage assistance scheme for residents who wish to participate in the revered Sindhu Darshan Festival held annually at Leh–Ladakh. This welfare initiative is officially known as the Sindhu Darshan Tirth Yatra Yojana. The festival is traditionally organised in the month of June on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, attracting devotees from across the country, including a significant number from Rajasthan. Recognising the financial burden associated with long-distance religious travel, especially to high-altitude regions like Ladakh, the state government launched this scheme to provide monetary support to pilgrims after they successfully complete the yatra. The scheme is administered by the Devasthan Department, Rajasthan, which acts as the nodal authority for implementation, verification, and disbursement. Under this yojana, eligible pilgrims are reimbursed 50% of their actual travel expenditure, subject to a maximum limit of Rs. 10,000 per beneficiary. The assistance is released only after the completion of the pilgrimage and verification of required documents. Both, Online and Offline modes of application is available to apply under Sindhu Darshan Tirth Yatra Yojana of the Rajasthan Government.
