Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme

Scheme

<h3>Introduction</h3>
<ul>
<li>Government of Tamil Nadu launched Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme in Madurai on 18-02-2024.</li>
<li>The main objective of this scheme is to support players from rural areas by providing them required sports kit so that they can prepare themselves better and perform well in National as well as International tournaments.</li>
<li>Sports Development Authority is the implementing agency of this scheme.</li>
<li>Tamil Nadu Government plans to cover around 12,000 Village Panchayats for distribution of free sports kits.</li>
<li>Each sportsman will receive sports kit according to the sports they play.</li>
<li>Government will provide the following items to players according to their sport under Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme :-</li>

<h3>Eligibility</h3>
<ul>
<li>District/ State/ National Players of Tamil Nadu are Eligible.</li>
<li>Beneficiary Player should curently be a resident of Rural Area in Tamil Nadu.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Documents</h3>
<ul>
<li>Any Tamil Nadu Residence Proof.</li>
<li>Mobile Number.</li>
<li>Aadhaar Card.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Process to Apply</h3>
<ul>
<li>Take Application Form of Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme from Gram/ Village Panchayat Office.</li>
<li>Fill it carefully and attach all documents with it.</li>
<li>Submit the Application Form with Documents in the same office.</li>
<li>After initial verification, application form and document will be sent to the concerned Department for further approval.</li>
<li>Selected Players will get Free of Cost Sports Kit under Kalaignar Sports Kit Scheme which will be distributed among players.</li>
