Introduction Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana (MKBY) is a welfare scheme started by the Government of Tripura to provide financial support for the marriage of girls from Antyodaya families. The scheme was officially introduced in the year 2025 through a notification issued by the Social Welfare & Social Education Department of Tripura. Under Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana, an eligible girl receives one-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 after verification of the marriage by the concerned authority. The Application Form can be collected from Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Office. Filled in form with all the documents can be submitted to the CDPO to avail the benefit of financial assistance for marriage under Tripura Government's Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana. Benefits Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Scheme offers the following benefits :- One-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 to each eligible girl for marriage. Support limited to maximum two girls from one Antyodaya family. Assistance provided after confirmation of solemnized marriage. Eligibility To receive benefits under Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana, the following conditions must be fulfilled :- Bride must be 18 years or above and groom 21 years or above on the date of marriage. Bride must belong to an Antyodaya ration card family. Marriage registration is mandatory. Only one-time assistance per girl. Maximum two girls per family can avail the benefit. Documents The applicant must submit the following mandatory documents :- Aadhaar Card and PRTC of the bride. Age proof of bride. (birth certificate/school certificate) Antyodaya ration card of bride’s family. Self-declaration by bride and groom regarding marital status. Passport size photographs of bride and groom. Aadhaar and address proof of groom. Age proof of groom. Process to Apply The application process under Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana is completely offline. The government has intentionally kept the procedure simple so that families from rural and economically weaker backgrounds can apply without any technical difficulties. To apply, the expected bride or her legal guardian must visit the nearest Child Development Project Office (CDPO) under whose jurisdiction the family resides. The application form is available at this office and can be collected free of cost. The applicant must carefully fill in all personal and marriage-related details of both the bride and groom. After filling the form, all mandatory documents, such as Aadhaar card, age proof, Antyodaya ration card, and photographs must be attached. The completed application is then submitted to the same CDPO office. The CDPO scrutinizes the form and verifies whether the applicant fulfills all eligibility conditions. Once satisfied, the CDPO forwards the application to the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) within 15 days from the date of receipt. The SDM is responsible for confirming that the marriage has been solemnized legally. After due verification, the financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 is sanctioned in favor of the eligible bride.
