‘Anubhav’ is an online initiative that enables submission and display of commendable work done by retiring employees. Initially this facility is being provided only to retiring Central government employees. It is an initiative of the Department of Pensions & Pensioners’ Welfare, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Government of India. The Anubhav portal was launched during 2015. Vision and Mission To provide a platform for the retiring Central Government employees to showcase commendable work done during service, to share their experiences of working in the Government and to give suggestions for improvement in governance. This would provide satisfaction to the retiring employee and also act as a motivator for serving employees. This would also be a wonderful opportunity to garner the resource of retiring employees for voluntary contribution to nation building post retirement. Framework/ Modalities Coverage The employees of Central Government and Central Public SectorUndertakings (CPSUs) including Public Sector Banks who are going to retire in next 8 months or who have retired within 3 years are the ‘eligible employees’ for the submission of Anubhav write ups. 105 organisations have registered on the platform. All the Anubhav write-ups published on the Anubhav Portal between the period 1st April, 2025 and 31st March, 2026 will be considered for the Anubhav Awards/Jury Certificates, 2026 under National Anubhav Awards Scheme, 2026. Procedure The retiring employee may submit a write-up, not more than 5000 words along with appropriate attachments where need be. The online link for submission of the write-up is https://pensionersportal.gov.in/Anubhav/. The write ups, so submitted, shall be assessed and approved by concernedMinistry/Department/Organization. After approval, the write ups shall be visible under thecategory of ‘Write ups Published’ on the Anubhav Portal. Since most successful ventures would have contributions of the entire team, retiring persons may indicate names of other members of the team in the write-up. Comments which are religious, gender based or based on caste and creed will not be permitted. The comments should not have a potential to disturb communal harmony or against the national interest. They should not reveal any sensitive or secret information. The Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare will coordinate and collate the data and information. Anubhav awards In order to encourage submission of write-ups by retired Government servants, an Annual Award Scheme was started in 2016. 5 Anubhav awards and 10 Jury Certificates are provided as part of the awards. The Anubhav Awardees will be felicitated with a Medal, a Certificate and a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-. The Jury Certificate winners will be conferred with a Medal and a Certificate. For the year 2026, it has been decided to confer Anubhav Awards to 5 (five) best write-ups and 10 (ten) Jury Certificates will be presented to other outstanding write-ups to promote wider publicity and participation in National Anubhav Awards scheme, 2026. 64 ANUBHAV awards and 29 Jury Certificates have been conferred from 2016 to 2025.
