The National Youth Festival (NYF), organized annually since 1995 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January, serves as a flagship platform to unite youth from diverse cultural and social backgrounds, fostering national integration and empowerment. In the year 2025, the festival was restructured as the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) in alignment with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. About the VBYLD The core objectives of this year's Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue was thoughtfully structured around two major goals. To bring new youth leaders in politics, o identify and nurture young talent with leadership potential, providing them a platform to share their ideas and vision for a Viksit Bharat To ensure the meaningful contribution of youth towards a Viksit Bharat through a transparent and democratic, merit-based selection system. This initiative underscores government's commitment to empowering the next generation to drive India's progress and development. As part of Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, NYKS organizes Yuva Utsav at District Level with 06 components viz. Science Mela Exhibition- Group and Individual Event, Young Artists Camp-Painting, Young Writers Camp - Poem, Photography Workshop, Declamation Contest and Cultural Festival- Group events. During 2025, a total of 703 District level Yuva Utsav were organized wherein more than 2.23 lakh youth participated. VBYLD 2026 Building on this success, the 29th NYF-VBYLD-2026 was organised by the Ministry with the objective of engaging the youth aged between 15 to 29 years during January 10-12, 2026 at New Delhi.
