The National Youth Festival in India is an annual event celebrating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a youth icon. It is being celebrated since 1995. In 2025, the festival was restructured as the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) to align with the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision. About the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is a programme organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in collaboration with the State Governments on various themes. Renowned speakers & the youth icons are invited to share their views, experiences and interact with a selected and invited group of NSS Volunteers drawn from different parts of the country. The festival brings together young people from across the country for various competitive and collaborative activities. VBYLD 2027 The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is being held during January 10-12, 2027 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Youth in the age group of 15-29 years (as on 1st September, 2026) would be eligible for participation in various tracks of VBYLD-2026. The details of various tracks of VBYLD-2026 are as follows: Viksit Bharat Challenge Track Cultural Track Innovate for BHARAT - Design for BHARAT, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament The District-level activities will commence on 1st September, 2026 with competitions under the Cultural tracks, continuing through State-level competitions in November-December, 2026 and culminating in the National Youth Festival in January 2027 in New Delhi.
