Amma Vodi Scheme
‘Amma Vodi’ scheme aims to support lakhs of below poverty line mothers or guardians to educate their children.
Under the scheme, the state provides direct financial assistance worth Rs 15000 annually to poor and financially weak mothers or guardians, to support them in educating their children. The amount will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in January every year.
Amma vodi scheme conditions
- All below poverty line mothers/ guardians in the state with school-going children, studying in class 1-12 in either private, government, aided or unaided schools are eligible for the financial assistance.
- The assistance will be transferred into the beneficiary accounts every year until the children pass out of school.
Jagananna Vasathi Deevena
The 'Jagananna Vasathi Deevena' scheme aids students from low-income households with hostel and mess fees of upto Rs 20,000 per year. The scheme, aims at reducing the number of dropouts.
The money is credited to the students' mothers' accounts in two instalments each year. The first instalment is paid in January-February and the second in July-August.
Eligibility
- Families earning up to Rs 2.5 lakh annually are eligible to be benefitted under the scheme.
- Courses covered are ITI, Polytechnic, to Degree and PG/Ph.D (except Intermediate students who are covered under Ammavodi) Full fee reimbursement is provided for SC/ST students, regardless of courses.
- Amount of support : Rs10,000 for ITI Students, Rs. 15,000 for Polytechnic Students, Rs. 20,000 for Degree Candidates every year.

- Hostel fee payment papers.
- Income certificate.
- Aaadhar card.
- BPL and EWS certificate.
- Bank account details.
