To enhance the technical capability of Sahiyas (Asha Workers) on Curative and Emergency Health Services during critical Golden Hours of Emergency.
200 Sahiyas (ASHA Workers) from the blocks of Manatu & Tarhasi.
12 Months, bifurcated into an initial classroom training period and assessment for 3 months and On field support of trained doctors for 9 months.
Sahiyas (ASHA Workers) were trained to provide preventive healthcare services but there is a dearth of doctors, nurses and paramedics in remote areas which makes provision of clinical services difficult in interior geographical areas. To ensure the clinical assistance and identifying emergency medics situation, district administration of Palamu realized that Sahiya (ASHA Worker) could play a vital role being ‘First Contact Clinical Assessor’ of the patient. Sahiya (ASHA Worker) could be trained for using technology equipment to assess the critical emergency and referral condition of patient.
The project kick started on ground from 1st August 2019, till now 40,919 patients have been attended by Sahiyas (ASHA Workers), out of the number of patients attended, 2111 have been referred to the OPDs and another 3972 required emergency referral through Ambulance rest 34,836 patients have been treated by Sahiyas (ASHA Workers) at their own end.
District Administration has planned to scale up the intervention in 3 more blocks through SCA funds and in 8 blocks through award money to be received by the district for securing 1st Rank in Monthly Delta ranking, for the month of Aug, 2019.
