Kendriya Vidyalaya

The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission,

1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training(NCERT)etc. 
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.

Adarsha Vidyalayas

To provide education to all students, irrespective of caste and creed and mould the students in to true citizens of the nation with a keen sense of responsibility, integrity and self-reliance towards equity. The concept of ‘common school’ will be encouraged. If these values are to be established in the system, all types of schools, including unaided private schools will also contribute towards Universalisation of Secondary Education (USE) by ensuring adequate enrollments for the children from under privileged society and the children of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya 

The objective of KGBV is to ensure access and quality education to girls from disadvantaged groups by setting up residential schools at upper primary level.
