About the portal

Wetlands of India Portal is a dynamic knowledge repository for wetlands – one of the world's most productive ecosystems. The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded high priority to conservation of these ecosystems, and this portal is an initiative to provide a single point access system that synthesizes information dissemination regarding wetland sites of the country, projects, initiatives and trainings. The portal provides a platform for the people of the country to learn more about wetlands and get involved in their conservation and management.
