New LPG Connections are available on demand in most of the parts of the country. One has to register for a new connection.
Most Oil Marketing Companies provide online registration for a new gas connection. Links for online registration for new gas connections are as follows.
Documents required include proof of identity, proof of residence address, filled in Know Your Customer (KYC) form and an affidavit in this format that your households do not have any LPG/ Piped-Natural-Gas (PNG) connection.
The various documents accepted as proof of identity and proof of residence is as under:

*In case the State Government insists on any other document or procedure the same shall be fully complied with under the EC act applicable to the State. For example, in certain states, as per orders received from the State Government, New connections can be released only against production of ration cards.The above list is only illustrative and not exhaustive.
Once the online registration is completed, a registration/reference number is generated. Users can track the status of their registration online using the registration/reference number. Users may also take a print out, sign it and visit the LPG Distributorship with the documents indicated in the application.
The Security Deposit applicable for Cylinder and Domestic Pressure Regulator (DPR) are as under:

It is not mandatory for users to buy the hotplate (gas stove) or any other items from the Distributor. Any make of user's choice will suffice as long as it bears the ISI mark.
On payment of requisite deposit, a user will be issued a Subscription Voucher [SV], which the user must keep safely. The Distributor will also issue a booklet called the Domestic Consumer Gas Card, popularly known as Blue Book or the Pass Book where the particulars of the LPG connection, the details of supply and other services are entered by the distributor's staff.
In case of loss of SV, customer has to submit an affidavit on non-judicial Stamp Paper of applicable value as per format which is also available with the concerned distributor. In case you are a Piped Natural gas (PNG) Customer, please use the declaration of loss of SV by PNG consumers Format.
