SAKSHAM - Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management, is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India which provides all health-related training programmes to healthcare professionals of the country in digital mode.
The digital learning platform has been developed by the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW), New Delhi.
Vision: To provide world class, readily accessible continued education for all healthcare professionals in the country without disrupting regular services.
Mission: To provide standard training to the healthcare staff across the horizons of public and private care subsectors, covering professionals from primary care centers located in rural and remote areas all the way up to tertiary care and corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities.
SAKSHAM is a dedicated and unified platform for providing online training and medical education to all health professionals in the country. This digital learning platform will ensure inclusive capacity building of health professionals from primary health centres located in rural and remote areas all the way up to tertiary care and corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities.
The portal will also integrate the robust training information system of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and preserve the on-site training data alongside the courses being consumed on the portal. This will enable single-window access to information on all health-related trainings happening in the country.
The portal will host theme based customized courses developed in collaboration with global healthcare agencies like WHO, UNICEF, UNDP, and reputed national/international institutes, peer reviewed and approved by domain experts from the concerned departments, open for all healthcare workers in the country.

Currently SAKSHAM is hosting more than 200 public health and 100 clinical courses through online mode. The Courses offered include Medical courses offered by Medical Courses by National Medical College Network (NMCN) and Public Health Related Courses.
