Standard Treatment Workflows

With the vision to make Universal Health Coverage a reality in the country, Government of India has started many initiatives, development of Standard Treatment Workflows is a catalytic step in this direction. Department of Health Research and Indian Council of Medical Research are working together to develop these workflows for common and serious diseases to help the healthcare providers across the country.

Aims & Objectives

To formulate treatment algorithms for common and serious medical & surgical conditions for both OPD & IPD management at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of India’s healthcare system that are scientific, robust and locally contextual.

STWs released by ICMR

Indian Council of Medical Research has made available its Standard Treatment Workflows (STWs) in three volumes which contain 11 specialities with 52 diseases. 

The STWs can be accesed at https://stw.icmr.org.in/stws or through a mobile application (Android and iOS).
